Terms of Service

1. What LFG is

LFG lets you create a gaming profile, discover other players, match with them, chat, publish posts and comments on a public board, leave “Great teammate” reviews and buy optional digital products.

LFG only connects players. We are not responsible for what happens between users outside the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use LFG. You must provide a valid date of birth; accounts below the minimum age are refused and may be removed.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity on your account.

3. Your data and your content

You are responsible for the information you publish, including your nickname, avatar, bio, posts, comments, chat messages and reviews. Do not publish personal data of other people, and think twice before publishing your own contact details or gaming IDs: content on the public board is visible to other users.

4. Rules of conduct

The following behaviours are prohibited on LFG:

• harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination;
• sexual content involving minors, or any sexual solicitation of minors — LFG is not a dating service;
• spam, advertising, mass unsolicited messaging, scams and fraud;
• impersonating other people, brands or LFG staff;
• sharing illegal content or promoting illegal activity;
• attempting to break, overload, scrape or reverse engineer the service;
• using bots or automated systems to create accounts, swipe, post or manipulate reviews and referrals.

5. Reports, blocks, moderation and suspensions

You can report and block other users from their profile or from the chat. We review reports and may remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate accounts when these Terms are broken or when it is necessary to protect users.

We can also remove content that is illegal or clearly abusive without prior notice.

A suspension can be temporary, with an end date shown in the app, or permanent. While a suspension is active, the social features of LFG are unavailable.

Trying to get around a suspension — for example by creating a new account or reusing another one — is itself a breach of these Terms. An account created with an authentication identity we recognise as connected to a permanent suspension can be suspended automatically.

6. Matches and chat

A conversation exists as long as the match exists. If you or the other user use “Remove match”, the link between you ends and the conversation, including its messages, is deleted for both of you.

Deleted conversations cannot be recovered. Export or save anything you need before removing a match.

7. Intellectual property

The LFG app, its name, logo, design, code and content belong to us or to our licensors. You may not copy, distribute or create derivative works from them without permission.

You keep the rights to the content you publish. By publishing it on LFG you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt technically and display that content for the sole purpose of operating, moderating and improving the service. The licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep for legal, security or moderation reasons.

Game names, logos and images belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify games.

8. Premium products and Boost

LFG offers optional digital products:

• LFG Overclock — a paid subscription with additional features, billed for the period you choose;
• LFG Overclock Pro — a higher subscription tier, billed for the period you choose;
• Boost — consumable digital credits that temporarily increase the visibility of your profile.

9. Purchases, prices and providers

Prices, billing period and taxes shown at checkout or in the store at the moment of purchase are the ones that apply.

On the web, purchases are processed by Paddle, which acts as reseller/Merchant of Record. In the Android app, purchases are processed by Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms.

Renewals, cancellations and refunds are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Before the payment window opens you must confirm the order and tick one mandatory checkbox, never pre-ticked, by which you expressly request that the supply start immediately. For Boost packs that consent, together with your acknowledgement, means the right of withdrawal ends once the Boosts are credited; for Overclock plans you keep the right to withdraw within 14 days against payment of the part of the service already provided. That confirmation is part of the order process and is recorded; you can download your copy under Legal > My consent receipts.

Subscription benefits are granted by our servers only after the payment provider confirms the purchase. Temporary delays can happen while the provider notification is processed.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep LFG available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, provider outages or security measures may limit parts of the service.

We may add, change or remove features. If a change is material and negatively affects a paid subscription, we will inform you and you may cancel it.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, LFG is provided “as is”. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for user behaviour, for content published by users or for meetings and interactions that happen outside the service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your mandatory consumer rights.

12. Account deletion and termination

You can normally delete your account from Settings. Deleting your account can cause the immediate loss of any remaining Premium time, and deleting the LFG account is not the same as cancelling a Google Play subscription.

While a temporary suspension is active, the automatic self-service deletion in Settings is unavailable until the suspension ends; the app shows the end date. With a permanent suspension, self-service deletion stays available. In either case you can still submit a deletion request through the channel described on our Account deletion page.

Deleting your account does not necessarily cancel a permanent measure: we may keep the minimum pseudonymised information needed to prevent evasion, as described in the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these Terms or that puts users or the service at risk. Where possible and lawful, we explain the reason, and you can contest the decision as described in our Suspensions and Appeals policy.

13. Applicable law and changes to the Terms

LFG is operated from Italy by Carlos Manuel Castillo Bartolo, an individual (natural person, not a company). These Terms and any relationship between you and LFG are governed by Italian law.

This choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you habitually reside, including mandatory consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

We may update these Terms; the effective date and last update are shown at the top of this page and material changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use LFG after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
